Abstract

The research study focuses on the impact of the Revocation of Article 370 on Security Council resolution, with a special focus on the historical perspective. This abrogation has all of a sudden not become part of the internationally disputed territory, but there is a deep history of such malign intentions. A lot of research studies have been carried out with less tangible results because of the aggressive policies of the Indian State. To get a holistic understanding of the linear propagation of these sorts of unilateral decisions, qualitative research methodology has been applied. The revocation is the part of specific agenda of the Modi government for accomplishing vested interests. The strong international reaction aside, the long-term repercussions have started to unfold in the form of the uprising of the committed Kashmiri people who never bowed down in the wake of such atrocities, brutalities, and killings. It is high time the government in Delhi should consider the historical blunder and step back. This would pave the way for the Kashmiri people for the right to self-determination. Only then a peaceful plebiscite can be carried out, which is the only will of the people of Kashmir.
